Feng Shui expert, Monisha Singh Dudaney, gives tips on this ancient Chinese science of energy and placement to attract health and happiness
What is intuitive Feng Shui?
Every individual is separate in nature and has an energy field, so what is good for one person may not be good for another as thought patterns, and individuality of people is different. Having worked on spaces, offices, homes and television sets, I have figured out a few truths that work well for people.
For one, intuitive Feng Shui is when you follow your instincts about placements as opposed to following a book or rules blindly. Suppose there is a particular painting, color or object that is supposed to enhance luck and prosperity, but if you think it doesn’t quite gel with your energy, then go ahead and follow your instincts and do what you think will work best. In such cases, going by the book can prove detrimental.
Instinct is, therefore, an important ingredient in Feng Shui. The purpose of correct placement is about making a few changes in your environment which resonate to your energy field and get you what you desire.
Tips for home and office:
There are a few things that everybody can follow in their homes and offices that are general and powerful and complement all energy fields.
· For instance, in an office space, a rectangular or square table represents business and brings in more of it, but on a circular table, energy moves rapidly, making gains a temporary component in the business.
· Good communication is what makes an office run and do well; it promotes relationships with clients and colleagues, so focus on it.
· Placing your phone on the extreme right of your table ensures your networking is impressive and you gain respect and credibility from business associates.
· At home, focus on the front door as it reflects your personality. Keep it clean and welcoming, and ensure your nameplate is clear and bright. Clutter clearing is the first step to attracting positive energy or 'chi' so that it flows in evenly in any space to balance ying and yang.
· Fix the clock that stopped working years ago, throw papers lying for decades, and get rid of bills stored everywhere. Remove wall photographs you have no interest in. Such objects represent stagnancy and lack of positive energy.
