Health Line. Must read.!!

A quick test to determine whether your wound needs stitches is to wash the wound well and stop the bleeding, and then pinch the sides of the wound together. If the edges of the wound come together and it looks better, you may want to consider getting stitches.

Too much water may actually do more harm

DRINK IN MODERATION

Scientists have for long advocated the need for drinking lots of water for good health. Yet, a new study claims that downing too much of the natural beverage could actually be harmful.

The study, by Glasgowbased doctor Margaret McCartney, describes the danger of dehydration as a “myth”. She says the advice that people should drink six to eight glasses everyday is “not only nonsense, but thoroughly debunked nonsense”.
She also claims there is no
clear scientific evidence that people benefit from drinking extra amounts of water, and the benefits are often exaggerated by “organizations with vested interests”.
McCartney has pointed out that research shows drinking when not thirsty can impair concentration, and evidence suggests chemicals used for disinfection found in bottled water could be bad for your health. PTI
